Day 5: Guilin
Guilin is famous for fabulous natural scenery. The Reed Flute Cave features fantastic natural stalactite and stalagmite formations, which are illuminated with multi-colored lights. Another magnificent view is Elephant Trunk Hill, standing along Li River. Cruising down the Li River, you will be fascinated by a living gallery: cormorant fishermen, limestone spires, and trees sprouting from the cracks to bend skyward—definitely a surreal landscape you never see anywhere else in the world. Disembark at Yangshuo to experience a vibrant local market. Next take a night boat tour of Guilin on the Reed River. (B/L/D)

Day 7 Xian
Visit the Qin Tomb Park, Here you will find the Terra Cotta Amy, with some 8,000 life-size clay infantrymen, archers, and cavalrymen, each with distinct faces, holding swords, spears, axes, halberds, longbows, and crossbows, standing ready next to their horses and chariots. These were arrayed to guard the tomb of Emperor Qin, which was rediscovered by a farmer in 1974 while he was digging a well. You might see some archaeologists working on-site to uncover the rest of the vast tomb. For dinner, feast on numerous varieties of dumplings. (B/L/D)
